Project 5 Task 1

Blogging has many benefits for students. It allows students to get their thoughts out and journal about their experiences and responses, while also learning technical skills. It also allows for collaboration. Blogs can be subscribed to and accessed by a number of users who can comment and continue a discussion. As Language Arts teacher, Clarence Fished, stated, blogging gives students a voice. When they write blogs, they have a real audience to read and respond to them and they learn they have a voice. Also knowing that they have an authentic audience encourages students to be better writers, by paying closer attention to grammar, spelling, and puctuation, and writing in greater detail.
